PubCon and ComicCon

eMedia had a busy week starting with the Fall PubCon Conference in Las Vegas followed by the Austin Comicon conference put on by Wizard World.

Pubcon was awesome and seems to be getting better every year.  The speakers and content were excellent and provided some solid takeaways. We met several people that we look forward to working with as we move into a new growth stage in 2012.

Comicon Fanfare in Chicago

Visiting Chicago is always good fun especially in the summer time. The Chicago Comiccon was a huge event. Probably one of the biggest comicon’s stretching out over 4 days of non stop activites. The convention center was packed from day one. Providing lots of opportunity to meet people and get more research and feedback on the online graphic novel reading framework.

Through Oohawe software, eMediaWright is continuing its R & D for the proprietary reading framework for “The New Age Graphic Novel”.

Miami Supercon

eMediaWright attended another Comicon in Miami. The Miami Supercon. Four days of non stop activities and workshops.; Lots of fun as usual. Maria and myself were there to provide marketing support for the Art in Effect Team as we continue to lay the foundation and create awareness for New Age Graphic Novel.

As an added bonus The Art in Effect team took us out for dinner to The Capital Grill in downtown Miami. Ooh Awesome food. We also got a bit of extra time to poke about South Beach.

We gave away a thousand plus free posters and lots of T-shirts to fans of Art in Effect, all in anticipation of two, 5 pages preludes soon to arrive online later this fall.

eMediaWright at E3 Expo

eMediaWright was recently at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles. It's all about the games and gamers and the launch of new products. Since we are working with a Graphic Novel company it was essential for us to be at the show for R&D of new interactive software.

Huge screens blasting out the lastest animation. Lots of explosions and machine gun fire. Xbox 360, Play station, Nintendo, and some names I haven't heard for years. It was a new experience in tradeshows, although it seemed almost more like a consumer show with all the teens and 20 somethings beta testing new games. Pretty cool stuff, especially since my game experience is pacman...which was few years ago now!

Comic Con Events in Toronto & Orlando

There is lots happening at eMediaWright these days. Most recently we just back from doing two Comic Con shows with Art in Effect. Both Toronto Comic Con and Orlando Mega Con were very successful events as we were there with Art in Effect  prelaunching the beginning of the " New Age" Graphic novel. We had over 500 people subscribe to the website and gave out over 1500 11x17 posters. We were really happy with the response and so look forward for more updates on this exciting 3 year startup project.
